We recently hosted a discussion on how to effectively communicate with employees during the COVID-19 crisis with special focus on employee wellbeing, motivation and productivity.
Employee morale expert, Sean Fjellvik (from Free to Grow), along with a panel of manufacturers from Smiths Manufacturing, TFG Manufacturing & Prestige Clothing, and Pep Clothing shared their employee morale insights and lessons.

Smiths Manufacturing has demonstrated clear leadership in managing employee morale and communications during the COVID pandemic, which has promoted an engaged and positive workforce.

Teresa is the Business Development Manager for Manufacturing at the Foschini Group. Teresa has been at TFG for 10 years with a background in human resources management in the manufacturing environment.
Teresa has been responsible for communication to employees to manage COVID-19 related fear, anxiety, stigma and false information.

Karin is the SHEQ Manager at Pep Clothing. During COVID-19, Karin has been responsible for COVID related communication to a workforce of over 2000 people situated in the Western Cape which has been exposed to a significant number of positive COVID cases.
