Employee Morale during COVID-19
02 July 2020We recently hosted a discussion on how to effectively communicate with employees during the COVID-19 crisis with special focus on employee wellbeing, motivation and productivity.
Employee morale expert, Sean Fjellvik (from Free to Grow), along with a panel of manufacturers from Smiths Manufacturing, TFG Manufacturing & Prestige Clothing, and Pep Clothing shared their employee morale insights and lessons.

Sean is a skilled professional having worked for more than 20 years across a number of industries and at a senior management level. He is a consultant and coach for Free To Grow, where his focus is on leadership and culture change.
Sean has a deep desire to see people (especially leaders) not only change what they do but also how they think. Sean will be sharing principles and tools for improved communication along with guidance and specific examples for application in a COVID-19 manufacturing context.

Paul is the Human Resources Director at Smiths Manufacturing and has been responsible for COVID related communication to employees. Smiths Manufacturing has demonstrated clear leadership in managing employee morale and communications during the COVID pandemic, which has promoted an engaged and positive workforce.
TERESA BOSMAN | TFG MANUFACTURING AND PRESTIGE CLOTHING
Teresa is the Business Development Manager for Manufacturing at the Foschini Group. Teresa has been at TFG for 10 years with a background in human resources management in the manufacturing environment.
Teresa has been responsible for communication to employees to manage COVID-19 related fear, anxiety, stigma and false information.
KARIN EVERT | PEP CLOTHING
Karin is the SHEQ Manager at Pep Clothing. During COVID-19, Karin has been responsible for COVID related communication to a workforce of over 2000 people situated in the Western Cape which has been exposed to a significant number of positive COVID cases.
